I’ve finally, finally gotten a new site up!

While the old Girldrive blog was devoted to chronicling Emma’s and my journey across the United States, this one continues the conversation our road trip started. Girl-drive.com is a blog for and about young women, feminism, and activism—from a regional perspective. It spotlights the millions of grassroots movements propelled by young women across the country. It tracks the countless things they’re doing within their communities. It reveals the myriad ways our generation defines feminism.

There are two elements to this blog. Most of the time, I’ll be posting on all the topics I just listed above. And I’ll of course post on other issues if the mood strikes me–I do want to comment on topics affecting young women on a grander scale.

The second element involves you. A couple times a week, I will feature a reader’s thoughts and photo, to mirror the kinds of stories Emma and I heard on the road.
