A friend tipped me off to this new independent film that’s premiering at the IFC Center in New York tomorrow. It’s about a young adopted African American girl with white Jewish lesbian parents who decides to contact her birth mother. It explores lots of intertwining identities–all through the lens of a young woman–and it’s directed by Nicole Opper, who’s just 30 and sounds bad-ass.
